Teddy bear hospital is a world-wide program, that provides primary school students with the opportunity to interact with young doctors. The aim of the program is to grant the students significant exposure to medical professionals to alleviate the “white coat anxiety” often associated with visiting doctors.
The day involves primary students bringing their own teddy bears (patients), and medical students acting as their doctors. Ten stations will be set up and each station will have a different educational topic, such as; ambulance, x-ray, healthy eating and surgery.
The program is a unique and interactive way to for children to experience the atmosphere at a hospital without being patients themselves.
